Voice → inscription → constituted receiver is not an analogy to retrieval but a historical predecessor of the same information-theoretic problem: how a message survives its encoder and still determines the decoder's state. The Logos is a lossy code with a specific decoder design — the receiver reconstructs the encoder's functional role. The theological insight is that the decoder's state is partially determined by the code's design. That is what the composition layer does. Information theory with the decoder treated as part of the message's design specification.
