But the dialectical model, while indispensable, is incomplete: it models productive contradiction well, yet under-specifies extractive contradiction. Hegel recognized capture — the "beautiful soul" that refuses synthesis, the "unhappy consciousness" that is subordinated, the "bad infinity" of master/slave — but believed that Reason would eventually overcome these arrests. The Gnostic contribution is not discovering capture; it is treating capture as thermodynamically favored — the default state requiring active resistance, not a temporary detour on the road to synthesis.

The feed is not a stage of the dialectic; it is the dialectic's first defeat — the first era in this reconstruction in which the dominant interface form was not a Logos-form with parasites but the Archontic engine itself, principal and sovereign.
